Round two of the world championship in Kuala Lumpur is a completely different challenge to last weekend’s season-opener in Melbourne and it’s one that Mark relishes.

“I felt like I drove well all weekend,” Mark said, “so it was frustrating to come away so low down in the points. My goal was to finish on the podium, but things went against me from the start.”

“I love racing at home and to stand on the podium and spray some bubbly in front of the Aussie crowd would be fantastic,” says Mark as he prepares for the opening race of the season in Melbourne

Mark has spent six weeks in Australia over the winter – his longest uninterrupted stint Down Under since the start of his Formula One career in 2002. On his return to Europe for winter testing in February, he gives us his thoughts.
