SEASON 2009
Mark returned to the cockpit of an F1 car just 10 weeks after breaking his right leg and shoulder in Tasmania. He completed 82 laps of Jerez on his first day back, which gave him a taste of things to come: the RB5 was a superb racing car, of the kind that Mark had only dreamed about so far in his career. He went on to win two races and finish a career-best fourth in the drivers’ standings.
