India
Turn 4, at the end of the long back straight, is another good one. Jenson [Button] and I had a few good fights there in ’11

Turn 10, the long, slightly banked right-hander is exhilarating. It’s quick and the g-forces are high.

Turn 4: a slow corner at the end of a long straight, so this should be a good overtaking point.

Turn 10/11: a long right-hander that looks pretty quick. Our necks are going to feel the g-force through here.

Turn 15: this looks like quite a good corner. But until we see the gradients, it’s difficult to say too much.

Mark's 2012 preview coming soon

AS A MATTER OF FACT…

  • While designing the Buddh International Circuit, track architect Hermann Tilke consulted the teams about the layout – and it showed. “It’s a really rewarding circuit to drive,” says Mark. “There are several overtaking spots too, so it has a bit of everything.”
  • Mark started last year’s inaugural Indian Grand Prix on the front row. He went on to finish fourth in the 60-lap race.
  • Mark isn’t the only Australian competing on Indian soil this year. Throughout April Australia’s best cricketers are playing in the Indian Premier League series, including Shane Warne and Mark’s friend Brad Haddin.

Three races to end the 2011 season championship…
In India wait you a new track and will be the first time to all drivers:a good chance to amaze everyone
At the moment that traffic lightschanges it from red to green and the RACE starts…a good “soundtrack” would be “THE
SITUATION” by The Black Eyed Peas
GOOD LUCK

Mark it is time for your first win here on this all new circuit. Think consistency and what it takes to win.

I had every intention to watch the start of the Wallabies at the pub last week but I could not leave home until your scrap with Lewis was over! What intense, on the edge racing. I have never heard the commentators Especially Coulthard enjoy calling the race so much as they did for the last 15 laps. Good luck in India!

Petra POSTED October 18th, 2011

Hi Mark, I’m looking forward to this race weekend in India too. In the last race in Korea, you showed, that you can do perfect starts. Now, try to drive the perfect lap in Q3 and then with a perfect start… you can do it. Get the highest podium! Wish you all the best.
